Castle Heights Elementary school welcomed members of the Price City Police Department (PCPD) on Thursday morning to enjoy the annual Pop-Tarts and Policemen event.

This event is a way for the local policemen to get to know the youth in the area while also enjoying a tasty treat and some great reads. The students and officers kickoff the day in a great way.

The event in sponsored and the invitation extended each year by the school’s librarian, Kathy Munns, as well as AmeriCorps Representative Celeste Smith. The duo strive to not only get kids interested in reading, but make sure the interest stays alive.

The members of the PCPD that were in attendance at this educational and fun event were detective sergeant Kelly Maynes, officer Dave Wilkinson, chief Kevin Drolc, school resource officer Brian Judd and officer Tyler Cressall.

“Thank you to the Knights of Castle Heights,” shared the PCPD following the event.
