A potluck BBQ celebrated the Helper community and its ongoing efforts to improve on Wednesday evening. The event was open to all and provided food, music and fun to those in attendance.
Hosted by Helper City, the event drew many to the Main Street park throughout the evening. Helper City provided the main dish, salad and drinks at the BBQ while attendees were encouraged to bring their own dish to share with others.
The purpose of the event was to bring local residents together, much like that have come together to volunteer and improve the city over recent months, for a time of celebration and relaxation. City officials took time to thank those in attendance for their support and dedication to city-wide improvement since the Sustainability Design Assistance Team (SDAT) grant gave insight to revitalizing the city.
“I thank you all for the amazing support in moving our great city forward,” Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman said. “I believe the best is yet to come. We couldn’t do it without you.”
