Power Outage in Castle Dale Caused by Downed Line

On Wednesday morning, a power line went down across the highway in Castle Dale by Stewarts.

The Emery County Sheriff’s Office shut the road down so PacifiCorp could fix the line, but it was unable to do so at the time because it didn’t have the appropriate tools.

Deputies reopened the road while PacifiCorp is finding the tools necessary to fix the line. When the power company finds the appropriate tools, it will shut down the highway for about 40 minutes while the needed repairs are completed.

Castle Dale Elementary’s power is out, but once they get the line fixed it, should turn back on.
