Preliminary Planning for Nine Mile Canyon Public Workshop in Uintah

Uintah County is hosting a workshop and inviting local residents to help explore and discuss future recreation possibilities in the Nine Mile Canyon area. Public Land Solutions is helping to gather input that will be used to
provide information and recommendations to the Bureau of Land Management for planning efforts for Nine Mile Canyon.

The workshop is scheduled Wednesday March 9, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – noon at the Uintah County Administration building located at 152 E 100 N Vernal, UT. The purpose of the workshop is to solicit input from local residents about their ideas for recreation in the canyon and to share thoughts about integrating new opportunities with existing uses. Public Land Solutions will facilitate the open discussions. Light refreshments will be provided.
An agenda is provided below for those interested in a specific topic:
9:00am – 10:00am – Motorized recreation
10:00am – 11:00am – Non-motorized recreation
11:00am – noon – Review potential impacts on private land, ranching, grazing, archaeology, and oil and gas
