Jarod Lessar struck out 10 batters in seven innings in the first game of a doubleheader with Uintah on Wednesday, which Price won 3-1. The team then escaped with a 5-3 win in game two.
Caden Sherman, playing in his second season with Price, paced the team with three hits, including two singles and a double. Steven Zamantakis, also in his second season with Price, went 2-3 in the game. Dillon Lowe notched a double and drew a walk.
Zamantakis then took the mound in game two and pitched five strong innings, including four scoreless. Johny Tallerico came on in relief for the final two innings. Lessar hit a double and a single in the game and Lowe went 2-3.
Price will have a few days off before traveling to Vernal to take on Uintah in a doubleheader on Monday beginning at 3:30 p.m.
