On Friday afternoon, the team working on the Price bridge construction project received approval from the railroad and gained clearance for the demolition of the bridge.

Kevin Kitchen, Utah Department of Transportation Region 4 media contact, anticipated that the workers would resume on late Tuesday afternoon or early Wednesday morning as they must re-mobilize some equipment.

Resumed work will see the beginning of saw cutting for the existing concrete deck panels and parapets for the remainder of the week. Monday of next week through Wednesday will see the removal of the parapet over the tracks.

From there, the deck panels will be removed. Kitchen stated that he believes that, with this approval, the crews will move quickly to complete the project.
