A concerned citizenВ approachedВ Price CityВ CouncilmenВ on Wednesday to describe a “pet peeve” he has with a stretch of road on the east side of the city.

Juergen Kehl spoke in particular of the road between sixth and seventh east. HeВ described it in “such terrible condition and needs badly to be replaced.”

“The city keeps putting money into repairing the road and filling theВ holes,” Kehl said. “You’re putting more time and money into it than it’sВ worth. It’s better to just replace it.”

Mayor Joe Piccolo said the road may very well be on this year’s master plan and if it’s not, there’s a good reason for it. He then offered Kehl the opportunity to view the master plan to see if the road is planned for repair.

Piccolo then thanked Kehl for his concern.

“Willing hearts and energetic helping hands make this community a better place every day,” he said. “So I’d like to thank the government staff, elected officials, and citizens for making good government better.”

Other notes from the meeting:

  • There will be a community clean up June 19 at Wendy’s in Price.
  • Fox 13 in Salt Lake City misquoted the amount of money raised at the National Guard fundraising breakfast on Wednesday. 13 had it at $25,000 instead of $2,500 which was the real amount.
  • Sixty Seven dozen eggs were donated to the food bank following the breakfast.
The council will next meet June 27.
