Price City Holds Public Hearing to Approve Bonds

The Price City Council met at the regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday and held two public hearings concerning bonds for Price City.

The public hearings were held to receive public input on revenue bonds the city had received for water and sewer systems as well as the Price City cemetery.

The revenue bond for the water and sewer systems was granted in the amount of $300,000, but could reach upwards of $404,000. However, if the city exceeds $404,000, the bond will have to be reapplied for, adding another costly expense for the city.

The second revenue bond discussed was a $450,000 loan that could not exceed $606,000. This bond is different from the water and sewer bond as it only relies on cemetery revenue, including burial plot purchases as well as the opening and closing of graves.

There was no comment made during either public hearing. The council made a roll call vote to approve the bonds.

Two members of the Price City Planning and Zoning Commission were reappointed to their positions at the meeting as well. Jan Young and Judy Beacco were approved for another three-year term on the commission.
