A group of youngsters playing a pickup game of basketball at the Hidden Valley Apartment Complex got a little more excitment than they anticipated Friday afternoon.They watched as police chased a man through a field and wrestled him down to the ground.
Price City Police were called to the complex on a report of a burlary ivestigation. The backup officers noticed a man acting like he was trying to avoid notice of the police, and as police В attempted to approach the suspect he took off running. After a short foot pursuit a plain-clother officer was able to cut off the suspect. He was apprehended and subsequently taken into custody for possesion of marijuana and suspicion of burglary. Chad Cody Tidwell (DOB 05-27-82) was booked into the Carbon County Jail on second-degree felony burglary of a dwelling and possesion of drugs in a Drug Free Zone. Initially the bike Tidwell had in his possesion when he was first spotted was thought to have been stolen, however that has not been confirmed at this time.
