The Price City Council welcomed Diana Wood as a community progress member on Wednesday. Wood was sworn into office during the council meeting that evening.
Wood recently became involved with the community progress board and formulated the idea of the old fashioned Christmas town events that will take place this season. She explained that she is excited to be on the board and help Price City be even better.
Council members also honored Kathy Sherman for her dedicated service to Price City. Sherman has been the secretary of the public works department for 15 years. Price City Public Works Director Gary Sontag thanked Sherman for her dedicated years of service and hard work.
