PUBLIC INTEREST STATEMENT
AVAD Energy Partners, LLC (“AVAD Energy”) and Urban Oil and Gas, LLC (“Urban”) (collectively, the “Applicants”) are submitting this Form 603 application requesting the Federal Communications Commission’s (“FCC” or “Commission”) consent to assign two licenses, identified by call signs WPVL710 and WPOG484, currently held by AVAD Operating, LLC (“AVAD Operating”) to Urban.
AVAD Energy is a private oil and natural gas production company based in Dallas, Texas, and focused on acquiring and developing conventional oil and gas properties in the continental United States. AVAD Operating is a wholly owned subsidiary of AVAD Energy.
Urban is a private oil and natural gas production company based in Plano, Texas, and focused on acquiring and developing conventional oil and gas properties in the continental United States.
DESCRIPTION OF TRANSACTION
The transaction involves Urban purchasing assets in the Helper and Clawson Spring fields near Price, Utah, from AVAD Energy. The transaction is expected to close on July 1, 2019.
PUBLIC INTEREST STATEMENT
The proposed assignment serves the public interest. AVAD Operating currently uses the licensed spectrum to operate internal communication systems that are used to support the safe and efficient exploration and production of natural gas. Urban will
continue operating this infrastructure in the same manner following the transaction. The assignment of the licenses to Urban will provide for the uninterrupted operation of these communications facilities to support the Licensee’s operations. For the reasons set forth herein, grant of the applications will serve the public interest, convenience, and necessity, and thus warrants favorable Commission action.
