The Emery Public Lands Council continues their county-wide drive to inform the public about their proposed lands bill.
After over two years of public meetings, field trips to sites on the Swell, and negotiation with impacted parties, the Lands Council is following through on their promise to seek public input, before crafting a bill for Congress.
This week’s meetings take place Wednesday in Green River at the John Wesely Powell Museum, and Thursday in Castle Dale at the Old Courthouse. Both begin at 7 p.m.
The Public Lands Council hopes to get public input on the proposal before taking it to the Emery County Commission for approval.
