The tenth Annual Mike Ballard Memorial Fundraiser will be held on June 1, 2019 at the Carbon Country Club Golf Course and The Carbon County Event Center.

The 2019 recipient will be Janell Nelson. Janell tragically lost her husband JR in an automobile accident on the morning of January 11.

The fundraiser is sponsored by Carbon County Employees.  The event is done off the clock and Carbon County doesn’t contribute any tax dollars to the event. 100 percent of the funds raised goes to the recipient, minus expenses.

The event has evolved from just a golf tournament and barbeque. The golf tournament is a four man scramble. The fees are $160 per team plus green and cart fees

We will begin at noon on June 1st at the golf course with a shotgun start. Following golf participants and their families will travel from the golf course to the Carbon County Event Center for an evening of dinner and entertainment. Dinner will be catered by one of the event centers preferred caterers list. Interested restaurants will submit bids and the winner will be chosen by the fundraising committee.  Dinner will be served at 6:30, followed by entertainment at 7:30 p.m.

Entertainment will be provided by the Band Natural Causes featuring on the drums from KUTV 2 News Mark Koelbel.
