A 21-8 third-quarter run doomed the Carbon High Dinos at Delta on Wednesday evening as Carbon fell 80-71.
Carbon fell into a fourth-place tie with North Sanpete in Region 12; however, North Sanpete owns the tiebreaker by virtue of defeating Carbon. Four teams from the region will make the State Tournament.
Jordan Blanc led all scorers with 23 points.
Carbon next hosts region leader Payson at 7 p.m. Friday.
