HELPER- Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Ramona Vell Anderson Zmerzlikar, age 88, passed away February 25, 2020 in Provo, Utah.

She was born October 23, 1931 in Mohrland, Utah to Neldon and Velma McKee Anderson.

Married Robert Zmerzlikar on March 17, 1948 in Price, Utah.  He died September 3, 1995.

Ramona was a very talented artist who enjoyed charcoal and pencil drawing.  She taught herself from instruction books and hours of practice.  She took a class on oil painting and her family has several of her paintings.  Ramona worked for the Carbon School District Child Nutrition Program as a kitchen manager for 24 years finishing her career at Castle Heights Elementary in 1999.  She was a great seamstress and enjoyed quilting.  She loved to do canning, Flaming Gorge trips, and her time on the bowling leagues.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family for camping trips and birthdays. She also enjoyed playing bingo.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the home care givers who came and assisted with Ramona’s care and comfort while she was living at home.  They would also like to thank the loving staff at Provo Rehab especially Terri Kidd, and the staff of Mitchell Funeral Home for the compassionate care shown during her final stages and funeral service.

Survived by her children, Judy (Dennis) Ardohain, Price, John (Merrilee) Zmerzlikar, Helper, Frank (Jeanann) Zmerzlikar, Helper; sisters, Marlene (Richard) Peterson, Farmington, New Mexico, Sandra (William) Nichols, Price; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Zmerzlikar; parents; brothers, Jerry, Harry and Hal Anderson; grandson, Terrence Zmerzlikar; granddaughter, Tara Zmerzlikar; great granddaughter, Kieran.

Funeral service, Saturday, February 29, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Helper Stake Center where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
