Randy’s Story
Randy Joe Evans, of Mineral Wells, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the age of 58.
A memorial service is 10 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at First Baptist Church, Millsap, with Rev. Tom Jones and Dr. Tracy Cook officiating. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
Randy was born in Price, Utah, to the late Vernon (Reese) and Ramona (Kilcrease) Evans. He was a Christian who devoted his life to his faith, family and work. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Millsap. Randy was employed with Wal-Mart for over 25 years in both Utah and Texas, with his last 18 years being in the Mineral Wells store as a department manager. He built many friendships over the years with his exceptional customer service and personal skills. He could always bring a smile to your face. Randy was an avid sports enthusiast and would be seen at most Millsap sporting events where he supported and cheered on his Bulldogs.
He is survived by his wife, Desty Evans; daughter, Brandi Evans, of Mineral Wells; brother, Reesie (Virginia) Evans of Price, Utah; brothers-in-law, Bobby (Libby) Childress, Denny (Collette) Osburn and Chad (Sara) Osburn; sister-in-law, Chere (Tom) Jones; father-in-law, Warren (Marti) Osburn; nieces, Jennifer Kerr and Monica Dolanwheeler; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon (Reese) and Ramona Evans.
