Raptors Still Looking for Second Win

Since losing to Pleasant Grove on June 21, the Price American Legion Raptors have dropped four straight to Roosevelt and Dixie, respectively.

Roosevelt took the field against the Raptors on June 27, totaling 43 runs in both games. Price scored nine runs combined in the games. Remington Motte went 2-2 in game one to lead the team. In game two against Roosevelt, Price scored all of its six runs in the third inning in the 24-6 defeat.

Dixie came on Saturday for a doubleheader, taking both games decisively, 14-0 and 21-2. Zac Gibson, Eric Rutherford and Motte had the only hits in game one. Motte had an RBI triple in game two, going 2-3 with a single as well. Alyjah Ellington, Tanner Hansen and Gibson each had hits in the lopsided game.

Price will travel to Pleasant Grove on July 11 before finishing up the regular season with a doubleheader at Helper on July 18.
