The Grand High basketball team traveled to Wayne and defeated the Badgers 57-54 thriller Tuesday.
Zak Hazlett poured in a game high 21 points for the Red Devils. A total of nine Grand players scored on the night.
Grand built a 49-40 lead going to the fourth quarter, but Wayne stormed back, winning the quarter 14-8.
Strong free throw shooting helped the Red Devils hang on for the win. Grand shot 18-21 (86-percent) from the charity stripe while Wayne shot just 8-19 (42-percent).
Grand next faces Manti on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
