Approximately 300 educators and law enforcement personnel from across Utah attended a training seminar at Emery High School on August 2. The seminar entitled “The Bulletproof Mind and Safe Schools” was hosted by the Emery County Sheriff’s Office and was presented by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman.
Lt. Col. Grossman was a West Point psychology professor, Professor of Military Science, and an Army Ranger. He is the author of several books, one of which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. He was involved in counseling, recovery and court cases in the aftermath of the Jonesboro, Paducah, Springfield and Littleton school massacres. Grossman is one of the world’s foremost experts in the field of human aggression and the roots of violence and violent crime. He trains elite military and law enforcement organizations worldwide. Grossman also trains educators and law enforcement professionals in the field of school safety.
