REQUEST FOR BIDS – Sale of Real Property owned by Carbon County

The Carbon County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for the sale of two surplus parcels of property.  Each parcel is being sold separately and each will be sold to the highest bidder. Each parcel shall be sold “as is”, subject to all latent and patent

Carbon County Tax Parcel number 01-2610-0000 consists of vacant land along 1000 S near State Highway 55 and consists of .71 acres.  The minimum bid price is $3,550.00.

Carbon County Tax Parcel number 02-1674-0002 consists of vacant land along 1800 South, consists of 2.32 acres, and is divided by the 1800 South roadway.  The property will be sold subject to a 66 foot wide easement for the existing public road right-of-way. The minimum bid price is $453.00.

Bids must be submitted to the Carbon County Clerk Auditor’s office located at 751 E 100 N, Suite 1100, Price UT 84501 no later than Tuesday, March 31 at 5:00 p.m., and must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the parcel number for the property written in large lettering on the envelope.  Bids should contain the name of the person or entity of the prospective grantee and the grantee’s mailing address and phone number.

Faxed bids will not be accepted.  Bids will be opened and awarded at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Carbon County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. at 751 East 100 North, in the Commission Chambers on the second floor.  Payment of the property must be made to the County Clerk within 3 days of the award of sale.  The winning bidder will be provided with a special warranty deed to the property upon payment in full.

Carbon County reserves the right to modify or cancel this solicitation at any time and may waive any informality or technicality in proposals received when in its best interest.
