REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR LEASE OF GRAZING PROPERTY

Lease of property owned by Carbon County Recreation and Transportation Special Service District

The Carbon County Recreation and Transportation Special Service District is accepting sealed proposals for the lease of grazing property, consisting of approximately 130 acres, owned by the Carbon County Recreation and Transportation Special Service District in Carbon County, Utah, just South of Scofield Reservoir, on parcel numbers 1B-0488-0001, 1B-0489-0000, and1B-0490-0000.    

The successful proposer will be required to sign a lease agreement, the terms of which will require the lessee to indemnify and hold harmless the Special Service District due to livestock caused erosion or the escape of cattle, to water the property, and to maintain in good condition all fences and irrigation fixtures.

Proposals must be submitted to the Special Service District Administrator, c/o Geni Hawk, located at 751 E 100 N, Suite 2200, Price UT 84501, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022, in a sealed envelope, with the words “GRAZING BID” written in large lettering on the envelope.  Proposals should contain the name of the person or entity of the prospective lessee and the lessee’s mailing address and phone number. 

Faxed proposals will not be accepted. Proposals will be opened and awarded at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Carbon County Recreation and Transportation Special Service District on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at 751 East 100 North, in the first level conference room.  

The Special Service District reserves the right to modify or cancel this solicitation at any time and may waive any informality or technicality in proposals received when in its best interest.
