The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office has continuously worked to ensure that the local community is safe and protected. A number of the members of the force have contributed many of their years to this effort. One such individual, Ronnie Bogdin, was honored at the regularly scheduled Carbon County Commission meeting on Wednesday evening.
Sheriff Jeff Wood spoke on Bogdin. He began by turning the wheels back to 1992 when Bogdin first came onto the force. Wood stated that the relationship that he has with Bogdin is a special one, owing to the fact that Bogdin had began at the job several months before Wood.
“Ronnie was always there to be that leader, even back then, because he knew more than I did and it was nice to have him around,” Wood stated.
Wood then went on to inform all in attendance that he is alive today thanks to Bogdin. To him, that is just one of the many wonderful stories that pertain to Bogdin’s career. Wood stated that he served the community proudly and made the office a better place to be.
Bogdin then spoke briefly, stating that it was a fun job to be a part of but that it was time for him to spend time with his family. He was then given a plaque by the commissioners for his time and effort.
