On Tuesday, a new business was welcomed to the community by the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce as well as a host of interested citizens.
The steel fabrication business, managed by Matt Blaser, is located at 392 East 400 South in Price. Blaser took the opportunity to thank many of those who had assisted him in starting the company.
“I’m very grateful that you guys have welcomed me with open arms and this is going to be a great experience,” the entrepreneur stated. “We hope to put lots of people to work.”
Blaser was proud to not only offer information to the public about the business, but give those interested a chance to apply for work and obtain information about qualifications and needs of the business.
“Don’t look at each other like they’re competition,” Blaser said to those interested in working at the business. “Because I think by the end of the summer of 2016, we’re going to have 20-plus people here and continue to grow beyond that.
“We have projects planned for the fall that will require 20-25 people so we’re going to be scaling up to that level in the fall,” Blaser stated. “After that we should see sustained growth for several years.”
