Richfield and Wasatch Academy traveled to the Emery Aquatic Center to meet the Spartans in the water. Richfield’s relay teams were tough and took each relay event.
Haley Guymon helped her Spartans with wins in the 200 IM and 100 back. In the latter event, Guymon dropped 2.81 seconds off her personal best to win by three one hundredths of a second (0.03 second). Teammate Kaelee Hooley also had a solo victory in the 50 free.
On the boys’ side, Elias Morris and Jace Jorgensen went one and two in the 100 back. Asher Beagley shaved 2.3 seconds off his best time in the 100 breast to win the event.
Richfield would go on to sweep the two divisions. The Wildcats ended on top in the boys’ 438-348. It was extremely close in the girls’ competition with Richfield (389) narrowly beating Emery (385).
