Local ATV racer Robbie Mitchell traveled to Primm, Nev. this past weekend to compete in round two of the 2014 WORCS Racing series.
Mitchell had a great start, coming second off the line. Unfortunately, the racer lost his rear brakes on the second turn. He rode carefully on the first lap, trying to determine the best way to ride without rear brakes. Not to be discouraged, Mitchell rode safer than usual throughout the competition in order to finish the race.
Despite mechanical difficulties, Mitchell grabbed a respectful fourth place finish at the WORCS race, gaining helpful points for the 2014 series. He looks forward to garnering a podium finish and more points on one of his favorite tracks, Lake Havasu, on March 18.
