Rodeo Features ‘Pink’ Night as Benefit to Local Charity

Saturday was “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night at the Desertview Pro Rodeo, and rodeo officials donated 100-percent of the night’s proceeds to the Emery County chapter of the Circle of Hope Survivorship Program.

Many officials participants and fans showed support by wearing pink shirts to the event.

In other news, Nate Baldwin, Blackfoot, Idaho, broke a 13-year-old Tie Down Roping record with a time of 8.1 seconds. The previous record was 8.4 seconds.

The old record was matched or bested three times on Saturday.

Dirk Olsen, Neola, Utah, scored a time of 8.4 seconds. Jesse Sheffield, Austin, Colo., scored a time of 8.2 seconds.
