High school rodeo trails led to Grantsville over the weekend for a number of Carbon and Emery’s rodeo team members.

Most of the placings happened in the shooting sports with Carbon’s Kagen Rhodes earning third in rifle shooting in both of the weekend rodeos, Grantsville and Tooele. He also finished second in the trap shoot at the Tooele rodeo. Ruger Payne placed sixth in trap shoot at both rodeos. The junior high shooting competition is done in conjunction with the high school and Ryter Ekker placed second both days while Kashley Rhodes earned seventh at Grantsville and sixth at Tooele.

Other Emery Rodeo team members ranking in the top ten were Will and Wyatt Magnuson, who finished eighth in team roping, and Drake Weber, who placed fifth in reining cow horse.

May 26 and 27 will feature rodeos in Spanish Fork and Juab. These are preference rodeos and there will be three performances at each arena.
