Just before 1 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, authorities were dispatched to an accident near the Poplar Street exit in Helper. Initial reports stated that there was a vehicle upside-down in the Price River, but the four occupants had safely exited the vehicle.
Eyewitness reports suggest that the vehicle had taken the exit at a higher speed than was safe and careened off of the road into the river. Possible injuries resulting from the accident have not yet been reported.
