A seemingly routine weed burn in Orangeville resulted in a house catching fire on Friday.
According to authorities, a man was burning weeds in his yard when the flame caused a small tree to catch fire that was near his home. The house then caught fire.
The Orangeville Fire Department responded to the scene, but the homeowner was able to put out the flames with a garden hose before help arrived.
The extent of the damage to the home has not been released at this time.
