The dreary weather Saturday morning did not deter local runners from gathering in Spring Canyon to see if they could best the infamous White Lady in a 5K.
Beginning in the canyon and leading those in participation through the streets of Helper, this Carbon County Recreation and Helper Flare sponsored event always gets blood pumping and everyone in the Halloween spirit.
Adam Morley was the first runner to cross the finish line with an end time of 18:53, followed quickly by Colton Clement and Donald Martinez with times of 20:14 and 22:49, respectively.
