The Price Civic auditorium was filled with the rich sounds of the USU Eastern Chamber Choir and the Price Civic Chorale & Orchestra as they performed Gloria & Requiem before a full house Saturday evening.

It was conductor Russell Wilson’s final concert before he leaves the Price area for retirement. Wilson invited Dr. Gregory Benson to join him for the evening. The two worked together in Eastern’s music department for over 14 years.

The choir performed Gloria accompanied by Philip Kersh, Shawn Shearer, Anne Boyle and Robert Peterson on trumpet, James Dart, Jr. on horn, Richard Dart and Greg Bensen on trombone, and Dan Bryce on tuba.

A short intermission allowed the orchestra to take the stage. The performance of Requiem featured a cello solo by Jon Serfustini.В SopranoВ Julie Higgnson and Kristi Ohlwiler delighted theВ audienceВ with vocal solos as well.
