For the past six years, the Price Lion’s Club has supported a Constitution Bee at each of the elementary schools in Carbon School District. On Monday, fifth graders from Sally Mauro took their turn at answering the questions.
Nine fifth graders stood in front of their peers Monday morning to answer questions about different elements in the Constitution. Multiple choice and verbal answers were given about the rights in the amendments, the president and the branches of government.
Abby Brown, Esqui Torrez, Sophie Arrieta, Grace Simms, Aubrey Gutierrez, Kalei Coplin, Nema Reed Duncan, Sage Vea and Kade Marrelli were the nine participants at Sally Mauro. Of those nine, Sophie Arrieta placed first, Aubrey Gutierrez was second and Sage Vea took third.
The three winners were awarded cash prizes by the Price Lions Club.
