The Emery Spartans made the long trip to Blanding Wednesday to take on the San Juan Broncos. The matchup proved tough for the Spartans as they suffered their second region loss, 68-53.
The teams were evenly matched throughout the first, each chipping in fifteen points. At the half, the Spartans went into the locker room with a two point lead.
Emery came out flat in the second half as San Juan outscored them 42-25. Tai Justice had a game high 22 points, including five shots from behind the arc. Tyson Roper finished with eight points.
Emery (11-7, 4-2 Region 15) will next travel to Mount Pleasant on Friday to take on Wasatch Academy.
