Byron Christiansen, an eighth grade student at San Rafael Middle School, earned a position on the Utah State All Star Wrestling Team. He wrestled in the 100-pound weight class against Dawson Wood from the Champions Wrestling Club in Maple Mountain.
The competition took place at Utah Valley University (UVU) on Tuesday evening. Following those matches, the High School All-Stars also competed. Wrestlers were chosen by a committee according to their records. Christiansen ended the night triumphant with a final score of 5-0.
