Sandra Hansen Halamandaris

Sandra Hansen Halamandaris transitioned to heaven on May 31, 2024. Sandra was born December 11, 1939, to James Clifford and Eva Murdock Hansen. Sandy married Harry Halamandaris on August 4, 1961. Sandy was educated in the Carbon County school district’s school system. She graduated from Carbon High School in 1958 and graduated from Utah State University in 1962 with a BS in Business Administration. She and Harry then moved to California where they resided for approximately 60 years and returned to Utah in November 2021. They had two children, son Chris and daughter Gina, and three grandchildren.

Sandy devoted most her time supporting her children’s extra-curricular activities. Over the years, she was team mother, coach, score keeper, cheer leader, etc. She volunteered supporting the school nurse’s program and a number of philanthropic organizations. She spent over twenty years supporting the Assistance League of Southern California who provides assistance to needy children, U.S. Marine families at Camp Pendleton, and scholarships to local students. At one time, she managed their thrift shop that produces many of the funds for these activities.

Sandy and Harry travelled extensively both domestically and internationally. Sandy enjoyed the people, their cultures and their history.

There will be a graveside service at the Price (UTAH) cemetery followed a celebration life on August 3, 2024. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.

Sandy would like thank all of her friends for the support, love and kindness that she received from them over the years.
