Santa PAWS Stops by Active Re-Entry to Spread Holiday Cheer

Santa PAWS stopped by Active Re-Entry on Thursday evening to visit with local pets and pose for photos. This was Santa’s 19th visit to the Price facility. While at the event, Santa met with various animals including dogs, cats, a hedgehog and a chinchilla.

Pet owners paid a small fee to have their pet’s photos taken with Santa. Proceeds from the event will be used for Active Re-Entry’s PAWS program. PAWS is an animal assisted therapy program which relies on volunteers and their certified pet to visit hospital patients, nursing home residents and those in other facilities. The benefits that animals can provide to patients oftentimes outweighs what people can do for each other in a therapy setting.
