On Tuesday, the Panthers welcomed Monticello. Pinnacle gained the early lead, but stumbled in the second to trail 21-14 at halftime. The Panthers continued to pressure the Buckaroos, but Monticello remained in control. The Panthers fell in this one 48-36.
Michael Schmitz led the way with 14 points (5-8, 63%) followed by Cole Barton with 12 points. In addition, Anthony Shumway grabbed 11 rebounds on the night.
Pinnacle then played host to Monument Valley on Friday. Schmitz only improved on his performance, pushing those in purple and black past the Cougars. He was extremely efficient from the floor, going 10-11 (91%) for 22 points. Barton again reached double figures with 13 points as the Panthers won 53-40. Once more, Shumway led all rebounders with 12 of his own.
