Science is Everywhere at Creekview Elementary

Fourth grade students at Creekview Elementary have been exposed to science everywhere, from visiting the zoo, raising rainbow trout and recently hearing from different individuals about different areas in the world of biomes.

Bill King and John Hannert from Dugout Canyon Mine recently spoke to students about mining, discussing the different rocks and minerals in the biomes, while Dana Truman represented the Bureau of Land Management. Truman spoke about wildlife, discussing the various creatures that roam the area. The final presentation came from Dan Keller and Jordan Nielson with the Division of Wildlife Resources to focus on rainbow trout.

The students were able to participate, answer questions and do hands-on activities to learn more about the world around them.
