Julie Rosier, the Community Services Program Manager at the Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments, will be the speaker at the Business Expansion and Retention general meeting on March 29.
The program will be the second installment in a three part presentation she is doing over two months concerning the Carbon County Circles Program, an initiative to reduce intergenerational poverty in the area. Poverty in any family affects the economy of an entire area in various ways, with poverty that goes on for generation after generation being the most damaging not only to families but the overall well being of the community.
The Circles Program is a partner based program that has been successful in many places in the United States in the reduction of intergenerational poverty
BEAR’s mission is to inform, grow and improve business in the Castle Country area. The meeting will start at 8 a.m. and light refreshments will be served. Each general meeting never lasts more than one hour.
