Price City Press Release
The Price Business Improvement District committee will host the second Music Meals Mingle event on Thursday, July 11. During a meeting on June 25, the details for the celebration were finalized.
The first event that was held in May was a huge success with hundreds of people attending, food trucks lining Price City’s Main Street and merchants keeping their doors open late so attendees could see their wares and services. On July 11, various stores and shops will be hosting special things for the event so everyone is invited to visit all the establishments and participate.
Music Meals Mingle has been planned in conjunction with the summer’s regular Thursday night fare, Culture Connection, which is hosted in the Price City Peace Gardens.
The Music Meals Mingle event that night will feature a lot of new things, including a car show and cruise in, drawings for prizes and, once again, Main Street happenings. There will be a kids’ corner with games and activities, including face painting, origami and a bouncy castle, in front of Banasky Insurance on the corner of Main Street and Carbon Avenue. There will also be games and events for adults near the Peace Gardens.
There will also be more food trucks than were at the previous event in May. As of the end of June, 10 food vendors will be on Main Street, which will be closed between 100 West and 300 East for the event. More trucks are expected to join the ranks before Music Meals Mingle takes place.
Those who wish to register to be in the car show can do so by contacting Stacy at (801) 678-0948 or by registering that afternoon between 3-4 p.m. at the Peace Gardens. Vehicles in the show will be situated along Main Street between the food trucks and events that are taking place. Each registration will get a dash plaque for their vehicle. Winners for the show will be selected by the public and announced at the conclusion of the evening.
All events will take place between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. with the Culture Connection program scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. That evening’s performance will be provided by the Greek dancers who will celebrate Greek culture.
Two more Music Meals Mingle events are planned for this year, with one in September and another in November.
