Carbon County Sheriff’s Office/Price City Police Department Press Release

On Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m., Carbon County Sheriff Jeff Wood and Price City Police Chief Kevin Drolc, both representing the governing board of the Carbon Metro Drug Task Force, presented a plaque to Sgt. Rick Adams in appreciation for his years of service as an agent at the drug task force.

Sgt. Adams served as an agent for the drug task force from March 2011 to November 2014. During his assignment, he investigated over 400 individual cases, including ten search warrants. Many of those cases are currently being processed by the Carbon County Attorney’s Office.

Upon Adams’ rotation back to patrol duties with the sheriff’s office, he successfully competed in a rigorous promotional process and is the sheriff’s office newest patrol sergeant.

Both Sheriff Wood and Chief Drolc expressed their thanks to Sgt. Adams for completing a successful tour at the task force. Both administrators stressed that Adams typifies the exceptional cooperation that exists among all of the area law enforcement agencies, and which is particularly exemplified by the work done at the drug task force.
