Ferron resident Al Shakespeare’s lively performance at Thursday evening’s Culture Connection inspired much the crowd gathered in the Price City Peace Gardens to get up and dance.
Shakespeare has performed at local venues for 13 years, including two Culture Connection appearances. Thursday’s show exhibited what many in the area have come to expect: high-energy covers of artists as varied as The Penguins and Brooks & Dunn.
Shakespeare also treated the crowd to several songs from his favorite artist, Elvis.
“I think people enjoyed themselves,” Shakespeare said. “I was pleased that so many danced.”
The Culture Connection series concludes next Thursday. Sherry Vlamakis and Kristy Woodhouse will be among the featured musicians.
