Shirley was born on July 29, 1944 to Andy and Lavon Greenwood Juvan in Price, Utah. She passed away on June 6, 2019 while holding her son’s hand after suffering a massive heart attack.
She graduated from Carbon High in 1962. She married LaVell Johansen in 1964. They later divorced, but their union brought forth three wonderful children who were her whole world.
She was an incredible seamstress and was stunningly talented at crafts as well. Shirley was a voracious reader and always dreamed of traveling, especially to Australia, the British Isles and to her dad’s homeland of Slovenia.
Shirley had a loving, generous spirit. She was always willing to help those in need. She worked in Admissions for three Care Facilities over the last 30 years of her life. She was so knowledgeable and kind to help and comfort the families as best she could.
Shirley was preceded in death by both of her parents, Andy and Lavon Juvan. She leaves behind her loving sister: Frances (Jerry) Price of Spring Glen, UT. Her kids: Audra (Rodney) Lott of Elberta, UT., Andy Scott (Cindy) Johansen of Las Vegas, NV and Debbie (Dan) Gianuzzi of Meridian, ID., 8 grandkids and 9 great-grandkids.
She has left an enormous hole in all of our hearts. As per her request, there will be no services.
