Cold weather and a pot of Chili go hand in hand. This Saturday Carbon and Emery County residents will have a chance to sample some of the area’s tastiest pots as the VFW will be holding their 5th Annual Chili cook off.
The cook off will take place at the VFW hall,189 North Carbonville Rd. and run from 2-4 pm. They will have independent judges awarding a plaque for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.Everyone attending can vote for the people’s choice bragging rights. If you think you make the best chili, cook up a pot and put it to the test. If you plan on entering a pot of chili, call 637-7424 by March 7th. Contestants please bring your chili by 1:30 pm on Saturday. There is no fee to enter a pot of chili. There is a $5.00 cost to come and sample the creations and put in your vote for the areas best.
