The well-loved Helper Idol is making its return on Saturday, Aug. 17. The fun is slated to begin at 6 p.m.
Whether you are hoping to sing your heart out or watch the competition, there will be excitement for all. The preliminary competition will be hosted during August’s First Friday, which will be on Aug. 2. Sign ups are open and the applications are available at Helper City Hall.

Submissions may be sent to helperartsfestival@gmail.com or to the aforementioned email amandaelevated@gmail.com. The entry fee for the singing competition is $50. However, a $10 discount may be received if contestants post a short video explaining why they should be the next Helper Idol on the event’s Facebook page.
The grand prize is $3,000 while second place is $1,500 and third is $500. The application deadline is July 31.
