Skating and More Winter Activities at Carbon Rec

LAST DAY TO RSVP SKATE SIZES FOR FREE ICE SKATING PARTY IS TODAY, JANUARY 8

FREE ICE SKATING PARTY – The 5th annual free ice skating party will be held Saturday from 11-2 p.m. at the Carbon County Fairgrounds Ice Pond. Carbon Recreation will provide the ice skates. There will also be free chili from the Main Street Grill, hot chocolate courtesy of the Coffee Shop, the Carbon County Event Center Staff is bringing smores and Sutherlands will donate firewood to keep everyone. All ages are welcome. RSVP skate sizes  to Carbon Rec by Wednesday January 8. To reserve skates call (435) 636-3702. Some sizes are in short supply.

Second Grade Developmental Basketball

There is still time to sign up second graders up for Carbon Rec’s Second Grade Developmental Basketball League. The fee is $25 per child. Games and practices will be held on Saturday mornings at Creekview Elementary beginning January 18. Don’t delay, sign up today!

Adult Women’s Volleyball

The deadline to register a women’s volleyball team is Thursday, January 9. The fee is $230 per team. Matches will take place on Tuesday nights. Matches start January 14.

Kindergarten/First Grade Instructional Basketball

Carbon Recreation is also currently taking registrations for their kindergarten/first grade instructional basketball program. Instruction will begin January 13. Play will be one night a week after school and includes Wellington Elementary and Pinnacle Canyon Elementary on Monday, Sally Mauro on Tuesday, Castle Heights on Wednesday and Creekview on Thursday. Each location must have at least 6 kids registered in order to host the program at that location. The fee is $20.
