With Halloween costumes barely put away after another spooky season, members of the community turned their attention to Christmas as they supported a Toys for Tots co-ed softball tournament that aimed to gather toys for local children.

The tournament is hosted annually as the weather starts to change and the community begins thinking about the holidays. This event is special to organizers and participants as it benefits local youth who may be less fortunate during the holiday season.

At the end of the tournament, Black Ice Coatings came out on top, beating Those Guys.

“What an amazing day,” said tournament organizer Kirt Nunley. “My heart is full of joy to know families in Carbon County will be blessed this holiday season.”

Nunley also extended appreciation to all the participating teams, the umpires, Carbon County Recreation, Carbon High student government and its advisors, and all those who helped make the tournament a success.
