The Christmas festival at the Emery County Care and Rehabilitation Center had something for everyone over the weekend. Outside, young attendees were treated to hayrides on a wagon pulled by a team of horses. Inside, the halls were lined with wreaths and dinner could also be purchased. Vendors shared all kinds of Christmas goodies for those with a sweet tooth. Another room was filled with beauty aids and various small items for sale by local vendors. Attendees could continue throughout the facility to view a gingerbread gallery, explore the array of wreaths for sale or enjoy a hot bowl of soup.
The festivities did not stop once the sun went down, though. At dusk, those in attendance were treated to an outdoor light festival. Then, to cap off the evening, the staff at the facility lit a memorial tree honoring patients who have passed.
Everyone seemed to be getting in the holiday spirit and anxious for Santa to come. The caregivers and family of the residents were available to see that everyone had a great time.
This festival was the second annual event that Emery County Care and Rehab has hosted.
