Lost Creek Reservoir is the place to go if you enjoy fishing for trout. The reservoir has a variety of trout in it, including big cutthroats.

Abajo Mountains: Anglers at Lloyd’s Lake have had a lot of success catching rainbows. Try using rainbow PowerBait or white tube jigs tipped with mealworms. Most of their success has been near the dam in 10 to 15 feet of water. The ice has been between 5 and six inches thick. (01-03-19)

Academy Mill Reservoir: Academy Mill Reservoir and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Blue Lake: Blue Lake and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Carbon County Community Fishing Pond: The Carbon County Community Fishing Pond is closed for the winter. (01-03-19)

Cleveland Reservoir: Anglers have been able to find stable ice on Cleveland Reservoir, but fishing has been slow. (01-03-19)

Duck Fork Reservoir: Duck Fork Reservoir and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Electric Lake: The road to the boat ramp at Electric Lake is currently covered in snow. The lake is only accessible on foot or by snow machine. (01-03-19)

Emerald Lake: Emerald Lake and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Fairview Lakes: Snow on the Manti-La Sal National Forest has made the road to Fairview Lakes inaccessible for highway vehicles. (01-03-19)

Ferron Reservoir: Ferron Reservoir and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Gigliotti Pond: Try using a white tube jig tipped with a worm for catching rainbow trout at Gigliotti Pond. (01-03-19)

Gooseberry Reservoir: Gooseberry Reservoir and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. Gooseberry, however, is accessible with a snow machine. (01-03-19)

Grassy Lake: Grassy Lake and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Huntington North Reservoir: Huntington North Reservoir is now ice capped, which is clear and 3 to four inches thick. Ice thickness will vary across the reservoir, so use caution and stay close to the shore. Try using a white tube jig tipped with chub meat or a mealworm. (01-03-19)

Huntington Reservoir: Anglers are having luck catching tiger trout at Huntington Reservoir. Try using a gizzy bug tipped with a mealworm or a Swedish pimple tipped with a worm. The fish have been less interested in PowerBait. Anglers have had the most success catching fish in less than 10 feet of water. (01-03-19)

Joes Valley Reservoir: Joes Valley Reservoir is now capped in ice, but ice thickness varies across the reservoir, so use caution. Ice will likely be the most stable on the east side of the reservoir. Try using a white tube jig tipped with chub meat for catching cutthroat trout and splake here. (01-03-19)

Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond: The Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond is closed for the winter. (01-03-19)

La Sal Mountains: Access to waterbodies on the La Sal mountains could be limited due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Lower Fish Creek: Fishing below the dam at Scofield Reservoir is good if you’re looking to catch chubs. Try using soft hackle flies here. This waterway may freeze over soon as snow and ice accumulate. (12-21-18)

Miller Flat Reservoir: Miller Flat Reservoir and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. Miller Flat Reservoir is accessible with a snow machine. (01-03-19)

Millsite Reservoir & State Park: Millsite Reservoir is now capped in ice that is about five inches thick. Try using a white tube jig tipped with chub meat or a mealworm for catching trout here. (01-03-19)

Petes Hole: Petes Hole and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Potters Ponds: Potters Ponds and several other waters on the Manti-La Sal National Forest are likely inaccessible to highway vehicles due to recent snowfall. (01-03-19)

Price River: Much of the Price River through Price Canyon has frozen over. (01-03-19)

Scofield Reservoir: Fishing has been good at Scofield Reservoir with jigs or paddle bugs in various colors tipped with chub meat. You might also try using white or green glow-in-the-dark jigs tipped with wax worms or nightcrawlers. Anglers have reported the fishing to be best when the fish see lots of movement from jigs. Fishing has also been best shortly after sunrise. (01-03-19)
