Abajo Mountains

Fair – Some of the waters may be accessible, but road and ice conditions vary. Use caution. (02-16-18)

Academy Mill Reservoir

Closed – Academy Mill Reservoir, and others above Joes Valley, may be inaccessible because of snow and mud. (02-16-18)

Boulger Reservoir

Fair – Boulger Reservoir has stable ice, but access to the reservoir may be limited because of snow, ice and mud. Try using tube jigs tipped with mealworms to catch trout. (02-16-18)

Carbon County Community Fishing Pond

Closed – This waterbody is closed for the winter. (02-16-18)

Cleveland Reservoir

Fair – Cleveland Reservoir has stable ice. Try using tube jigs tipped with mealworms to catch trout. (02-16-18)

Duck Fork Reservoir

Closed – Access to Duck Fork Reservoir and others on the South Manti may be limited because of snow, ice and mud. (02-16-18)

Electric Lake

Fair – Fishing has been slow to fair. Anglers are catching tiger trout through the ice near the boat ramp and off other points. The fishing has been best before noon using tube jigs. (02-16-18)

Fairview Lakes

Closed – The Fairview Lakes may be inaccessible with highway vehicles because of recent snow. (02-16-18)

Ferron Reservoir

Closed – Ferron Reservoir, and others on the South Manti, may be inaccessible with highway vehicles. (02-16-18)

Gigliotti Pond

Fair – The ice has melted off Gigliotti Pond, though thin ice may return if temperatures drop. Nightcrawlers and PowerBait work best for catching rainbow trout here. (02-16-18)

Gooseberry Reservoir

Closed – Gooseberry Reservoir may be inaccessible because of snow and mud. (02-16-18)

Grassy Lake

Closed – Grassy Lake, and other waters on the South Manti, are currently inaccessible to highway vehicles because of ice on the road. (02-16-18)

Huntington North Reservoir

Fair – The ice is gone. About 350 rainbow trout, averaging 4.5 pounds each, were stocked on Jan. 23. Try using worms, PowerBait or white jigs to catch the stocked trout. (02-16-18)

Huntington Reservoir

Good – Anglers have had success catching tiger trout at Huntington Reservoir using a paddle bug, tube jig or plain jighead tipped with worms. Red shiners have been less effective lately. (02-16-18)

Joes Valley Reservoir

Fair – The ice is mostly gone. Try using spoons or jigs tipped with chub meat to catch trout. A new catch-and-release record for splake was made official on Jan. 24. The record splake was 30.5 inches long and was caught at Joes Valley in November. (02-16-18)

Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond

Closed – Access to the Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond is closed until March 1. (02-16-18)

La Sal Mountains

Closed – Many waters on the La Sal Mountains are either inaccessible to highway vehicles or covered with unstable ice. (02-16-18)

Lower Fish Creek

Good – Access may be limited to Lower Fish Creek as snow and ice accumulate, but it may be accessible below Scofield dam with a four-wheel drive. Try using panther martin spinners or green soft hackle flies for catching trout and chubs here. (02-16-18)

Miller Flat Reservoir

Fair – Miller Flat Reservoir may be accessible in a four-wheel drive vehicle. Try using tube jigs tipped with mealworms to catch trout. (02-16-18)

Petes Hole

Closed – Petes Hole and other waters above Joes Valley may be inaccessible because of snow, ice and mud. (02-16-18)

Potters Ponds

Closed – Potters Ponds may be inaccessible with highway vehicles because of snow, ice and mud. (02-16-18)

Price River

Slow – Much of the Price River through Price Canyon has frozen over, which makes fishing impossible in many areas. (02-16-18)

Right Fork of Huntington Creek

Fair – Many parts of Huntington Creek are frozen over. Fishing may be difficult, depending on where you go. (02-16-18)

Scofield Reservoir

Good – Anglers have been ice fishing near the dam cove, near Madison Bay and near the island on the west side of the reservoir. Much of the ice around the edges, however, has become unstable, so use caution. Anglers have had success catching rainbow and cutthroat trout using white-and-chartreuse jigs tipped with chub meat or waxworms. Paddle bugs, clear-and-speckled tube jigs and green glow ice flies tipped with a waxworm have also worked well. Try fishing between 16 and 22 feet of water, close to the bottom. (02-16-18)
